Date Night With My Husband

I am so blessed to be married to the man who is my husband, and love to have that alone time with him. I have a beautiful story to share with you about how we met, and I will later.

For now, here is the outfit I wore for our yesterday’s date night. It was more elegant than romantic. The reason I chose it because my husband had business attire on, coming from business meeting to our dinner. My polka dot top looked classy with black pencil skirt, black heels, and a pearl necklace. Outfit With My Favorite Spring Color

Can you see how much I love this Spring color? My warderobe has so many shades of green and blue colors, that I think it’s about time to think of adding some different colors to it like red, yellow, purple, brown.

The main thing that I love about mint color is how cool, clean, and fresh it is, especially when paired with white. It’s a beautiful and soft color combination. I like how you can look simple and elegant with this soft pastel combination.

The Best Banana Crumb Muffins

Here is my new discovery that doesn’t let me lose weight easily. It’s Banana Crumb Muffins. When we had family over, I wanted to make something easy, but tasty. Sure enough these muffins were delicious and very easy to make. It took approximately 35 min to make and bake it. I found the recipe in allrecipes.com, and it has almost 8000 review with 5 stars, so I didn’t think I could go wrong with it. Love it!

Banana Crumb Muffins

1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

3 bananas, mashed

3/4 cup white sugar

1egg, lightly beaten

1/3 cup butter, melted

1/3 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1/8 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon butter

The recipe makes 10 muffins.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line muffin cups with muffin papers.
In a large bowl, mix together 1 1/2 cups flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, beat together bananas, sugar, egg and melted butter. Stir the banana mixture into the flour mixture just until moistened. Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups.
In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, 2 tablespoons flour and cinnamon. Cut in 1 tablespoon butter until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Sprinkle topping over muffins.
Bake in preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of a muffin comes out clean.

Continue with White Color Trend…

To finish up with my previous post about trendy white color, I wore this white outfit today. This shear white top I bought at Forever21 for my trip to Puerto Rico, but didn’t get a chance to take a picture of me wearing it there. Click here to see my post with clothes I was considering to buy for Puerto Rico trip. This top was one of them. I like how it can be worn many ways. You can wear it over swimming suit while at the beach. You can wear it over a short or long sleeve top depending on the weather.

As for my outfit, head-to-toe white look is very trendy, but I felt like adding a soft contrast for a nice accent. 🙂

Trendy White Color

This Spring and Summer white color is a must trend to wear. Solid white suits, dresses, and other looks with head-to-toe white color, look refreshing elegant, and feminine.

When wearing a solid white outfit, make it more interesting by emphasizing the difference in fabric and texture of the pieces you wear. However, don’t make the outfit too complicated, keep it simple and clean.

Having Fun With Stripes

The dress is striking, modest, and very cute. It has thick black and white striped pattern that I love. In fact, the thicker the stripes, the greater the contrast.

The sleeveless top and pleated bottom of the dress looks very feminine. However, the best part of it is the thick belt. It draws attention to the thinnest part for your body by emphasizing it. The thicker the belt, the slimmer you look.

The yellow color of the belt is just what the dress needs to be one of the trendiest pieces at the store. It adds a perfect on-trend pop of color. Together with yellow clutch and nail color, it makes a bold statement that stylish lady just needs. 🙂

Stripe Trend 2013

Stripes are so trendy this Spring and Summer. They are everywhere with various colors, sizes, and even directions. Wear a jacket, dress, shorts, skirt, top, handbag, or shoes with stripes and you will truly be in vogue. If you want to add more drama to the look, add some bright color as an accessory.

My favorite are black and white stripes. I like the strong contrast they create. The bigger the stripes, the bolder the look.

Inspired By Music

Music is a big part of my life. Every time I drive, I listen to it. One of my favorite parts of the evening is when my children are asleep for the night, and I get to sit at the computer and listen to some of my favorite music really loud (with my headphones of course). 🙂

I grew up with radio music. EuropaPlus was one of my favorite channels. I still visit their website sometimes to see who is in Top 40. There are so many very talented singers coming up with beautiful and catchy songs. Unfortunately, now I can understand lyrics for songs in English, and so most of the time lyrics are dissapointing.

Rihanna’s songs are one of the best examples. She is so talented with such a great strong voice, but some of her lyrics are not really appropriate, not even mentioning her videos. However, I do think she is one of the best singers in the world.

Bruno Mars is one of my favorite singers. “When I was your man” is my most favorite song at the moment. It’s very romantic and beautiful..and his voice..oh my goodness!

Michael Buble is our family favorite singer. His songs are safe to listen in the car when driving with my children. The music is clean, and Michael has a great unique voice.

Blue and Simple Nail Design
