Wearing an Oversized Tunic Sweater

I bought this oversized cover-up sweater at Victoria’s Secret a while ago. It’s a great colorful garment to have in my closet. Even though cover-ups primarily are designed to be worn to the beach, I wear it quite often to run some errands. It’s very comfortable, airy, and fun to wear.

My Top 5 Wedding Dresses from TopWedding.com

Today I would like write about a wonderful website www.TopWedding.com. The site is overloaded with beautiful dresses and accessories for special occasions. There is a huge collection of dresses for weddings, receptions, graduation, cocktail parties, etc. Remember me talking about that special little black dress? Well, they have it there too!

However, the name of the site says it all. They have a large variety of bridal gowns, and in many styles, made with beautiful fabric appropriate for different seasons. Their dresses are elegant and many are stunning. I remember when I was getting married, almost nine years ago, I wore a beautiful romantic dress. Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamt of my own wedding. To me, a wedding is when a bride transforms into a princess for the night, and so I feel like the dress should be very special. I’m not a big fan of modern, short or too revealing dresses, instead I always liked the classic look.

Today I would like share with you my five favorite bridal gowns from www.TopWedding.com. I will also explain why each one of them is special to me.

#5

Empire Style Floral Off the Shoulder Flowing Satin Chiffon Bridal Gown

The dress I chose as my #5 favorite is a surprise to me, as it has nothing to do with the princess-like look. My preference for wedding dresses is all one color, either white or off-white. However, somehow I fell in love with this dress. Why? Well, sometimes we love things just because we love them. I think I had one of those moments. The black belt does not take away from the innocence one likes to see in a bride’s dress. The dress is romantic, feminine, flattering, and simply stunning.

 #4

Sweetheart Organza Ball Gown with Embroidery and Rhinestone

I love this pure white dress I picked as my #4! It’s very elegant and glamorous. Soft organza swirling throughout the skirt adds volume to the skirt, and gives it romantic princess charm.

 #3

Strapless Satin Beaded and Appliqued Mermaid Gown with 3D Flower

Short dresses or mermaid-style ones are not something I personally would consider for my wedding. However, I chose this mermaid-style dress as one of my favorites without having any good explanation. I like how the dress flatters the figure, and I love the flowers and pearls randomly spread out all over the dress. There is something different about this dress, something that would make a woman feel very special on her wedding day.

     #2

Strapless Ruched Ball Gown with Tiered Organza Skirt

This dress associates with three words: simple, innocent, and romantic. I like how the main details are on the skirt, and the top accentuates the waistline. I also love the lack of jewelry. It creates a simple and stylish look that is very impressive. Elegant simplicity is always in fashion.

     #1

Ivory V Neck Satin Ball Gown with Sequined Applique and Bowknot

…and here is my Top Favorite! I was very surprised to find this gown, as it’s almost identical to the one that was made for me thousands of miles away from here for my wedding in 2004. So, I would have to say that this dress is very special to me, as it brought back those wonderful moments of that one special night with my handsome, one of a kind groom. 🙂

V-neck embellished with sequin, beading and rhinestones and a full skirt gathered at the waistline creates that special princess feel when wearing the dress. In addition, an oversized bowknot on the side of the dress adds a touch of allure. This dress, just like my wedding dress, is made of satin. Let me mention that our wedding lasted from 5 pm until 5 am with a lot of dancing, eating and drinking. So, when I was choosing a fabric for my dress, I wanted to be sure it was resilient enough to survive the night. Now I can say for sure that thick satin was a good choice.

I love my husband now as much as I did nine years ago, and so my wedding was very special to me. I think it’s one of the reasons why I enjoy looking at these gowns. It brings such wonderful memories of that day…

Anyhow, these are my top five wedding gowns from www.TopWedding.com. If you have a wedding, evening party, or any other event where you want to look amazing, visit www.TopWedding.com , and you will definitely find what you need!

Printed Pants and Blue

Today’s post and my next post will be similar because I will be wearing the same pants, the difference will be everything else I will wear with them. The pants are a great focal point of the outfit, so I wouldn’t want to wear too much jewelry or a busy top.

Come back to see my next post with me wearing the pants with a different color. 🙂

Polka Dot is Fun!

Polka dot is a fun print to wear. I was visiting my best friend today, and wanted to look comfortable, yet dressy. Pairing low heels and polka dot peplum top was a great choice!

Love My Jeans!

I am wearing them again and again…and again 🙂

The blue color I am wearing today is not a very dressy color, especially when worn with boyfriend jeans. To add some elegance to the outfit, I paired the jacket and jeans with some very feminine items… a dressy top and silver heels. The blue and gray clutch helped bring the look together.

Outfit with Maxi Skirt

Maxi skirt is the latest favorite addition to my closet this summer! The garment is not an easy one to pair, and so there are a few things I consider when wearing it.

First of all, a maxi skirt should fit me well and be the right length. I actually like it very long, so when I pair it with high heels, I look pretty tall. 🙂 A maxi skirt can also be worn with different footwear (flats, wedges, espadrilles, heels). It all depends on the look that you are going for. Again, my personal preference is with high heels.

Secondly, I avoid wearing long cardigans and blazers with a maxi skirt, instead I combine it with a well-fitting top to flatter my figure.

Date Night

Yesterday was another great date night with my wonderful husband. I always enjoy those alone times with him, but yesterday was a little more entertaining. We went to Stars Theatre Restaurant to watch the silly comedy “Spamalot”. Since my husband had on dressy attire, I decided to wear a little black dress. You can’t go wrong with a little black dress that fits you well. 🙂

Our godparents, Bob and Kandi, invited us to the play, as Bob is playing the staring role of King Arthur. This couple is like our second parents, at least that’s how I feel about them. As for the theatre, their food was good, and the Irish flavored coffee with a hint of cinnamon was some of the best I’ve ever had.

Monty Python’s Spamalot is a musical comedy “lovingly ripped off from” the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail.   The comedy will be played until July 27.  Like the film, it is a highly irreverent parody of the Arthurian Legend, but it differs from the film in many ways.” (Wikipedia) “Telling the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, and their quest for the Holy Grail, Monty Python’s SPAMALOT features a chorus line of dancing divas and knights, flatulent Frenchmen, killer rabbits and one legless knight. (Stars Theatre Restaurant)  The comedy is very silly. I knew I wouldn’t get most of the jokes, but we all had a great time, good food, wonderful coffee, and a good laugh. Bob Anderson did an awesome job playing King Arthur!

1 Outfit/2 Ways…Military Inspired Outfit

Today I am wearing the same outfit as in the previous post, except this one is inspired by the military mini jacket that I love so much.
