Sometimes I feel like wearing boyfriend jeans with sneakers, other times I love wearing a long dress, but today I wanted to look simple and classy. When I think of a classy outfit, a few things come to mind: tailored look, low-contrasting colors, and modesty.

In fact, let me share with you a few tips I am using when putting a simple and classy look together:

– wear not too tight, not too loose clothes;

– avoid bright colors, instead wear black, white, neutral or monochromatic color choice;

– use minimum jewelry. Sometimes that one piece of jewelry can visually make your look far more expensive than it is;

–  “Show only one thing, cover up the other entirely”…

…just a few steps, and you look…Simple and Classy!

I really like this top I got at Kohl’s. It’s dressy, simple, and very cute. I used the top to dress business casual. I paired it with straight leg black pants, heels, and a clutch…no accessories added. Blue detail on the top, and blue accessories bring the look together while making it visually very appealing and interesting.

Looking dressy today with a classy combination of black and red, and of course pearls! Who doesn’t love pearls?! 🙂 The red suede shoes are still my most favorite one in the closet.

When doing “Black, White and Yellow Outfit Challenge” last Summer, I wrote that “yellow is an eye-popping color. Therefore, use it moderately to avoid a loud and busy ensemble. Don’t overwhelm with it. Pair it with gray, brown or pastels for a softer look.”

Today I wore black, white and yellow sweater with white pants and black heels. Accessories add a touch of elegance to the outfit.
