How to Look Good in the Office

Business attire always appealed to me more than any other styles. It’s so timeless, elegant and feminine to wear a pencil skirt or dress pants, a well-fitting blouse, and heels.

Here are a few tips I would personally use if I would work at the office:

  • don’t wear revealing clothing or with obnoxious logos;
  • don’t wear clothes that fit too tight or too loose; instead wear fitting clothes;
  • wear heels;
  • wear lipstick or lip gloss, keep your eye brows clean, and always wear mascara;
  • add a pop of color to spice up your look.

Outfit with Graphic Top

I wore this outfit yesterday in the evening when going to a restaurant with my husband. The graphic contrasting top (Forever21) with black and white pattern is the focal point of the look. However, the addition of some gray accessories made the look softer and more balanced.

Different Looks with the Same Shoes!

Today my post is different from the other ones. It’s not about the outfits I wear, but about one of my favorite shoes. I bought them at BCBGeneration.com, but since I can’t find them online, take a look at these very similar beautiful shoes by Steven Raquelle. I hope they are as comfortable.

As for the shoes, I had them for a while now, and still wear them quite often. They can be worn to many places, and can dress up many looks.

A Pop Of Color

Floral Print Dress

The weather is beautiful today, and I am wearing the “botanical boho-inspired print” dress I got last weekend at Forever21. Floral print is one of the trends I wrote about in my recent post when talking about fashion trends.

The dress is casual, and I already see myself wearing it quite often with blue, brown, tan flats or sandals to run some errands. However, add a pop of a contrasting color or wear high heel sandals with it, and the look will transform from casual to dressy. I call it dress for every day. Love it!

Classic Houndstooth

As I am looking to renew my closet with new clothes and accessories, I wrote a few posts about my favorite fashion trends for this Spring. I am having a lot of fun shopping this weekend, but for now … do you remember the challenge I’ve done with the houndstooth pencil skirt and tan heels? Well, today I am posting another outfit with that skirt and those same shoes. Yes, one more!

Here is a layout I created inspired by my outfit:

Graphic Trend 2014

Next trend for the Spring-Summer 2014 is graphic trend, especially in black and white colors. The combination of these two colors is classic and dressy. Now add some graphic or geometrical pattern to it and it looks beautiful, as long as you don’t overdo with it. I like to stay away from busy outfits…minimum lines and big patterns. What a great way to create a bold statement and add interest to the look!

Below are some photos of graphic trend from runaways! Judge for yourself.

Fringe Trend 2014

Last month, my family and I were relocating to another state across the United States, and fashion trends were number 10 on my list. I feel like today I am finally unpacked all the way, and it looks like my closet needs some new garments and accessories. However, before I go shopping, let’s talk fashion! Spring time is almost here, and there are some interesting trends to watch out for to look stylish this season.

For the next few posts, I will be writing about top Spring trends I am interested in, and after that the fun part begging…shopping! 🙂

FRINGE TREND

One of my favorite trends this season is Fringe Trend! Fringing was always popular with  in boho and Western styles. However, this Spring you can spot it on every garment possible from swimming suits to shoes. Suede, raw leather and silk add a new stylish and dressy feel to this new trend.

As you may have noticed, I always love garments that can be worn many different ways to create dressy or casual outfits. Fringing is one of those decorative pieces that can be styled to dress the look up or down depending on the style you go for and the mood you are in.
